A Family Care Manager is a Registered Nurse (R.N.) with an average of ten years in eldercare nursing experience. Family Care Managers are personally trained by Dr. Dan Tobin, the founder of Care Support of America and a nationally recognized leader in advancing illness and aging health counseling. Family Care Managers work with family caregivers — many who live miles from their parents — to develop a comprehensive action plan and personally coordinate all recommended services in any community based on individual caregiving needs.

Yes. Your Family Care Manager is specially assigned to you and understands your situation, so you will speak directly to her each time you call.

A Nurse Care Manager will speak with you in-depth about your situation, and, if appropriate, arrange an in-home safety assessment of your parents and their surroundings. Based on this information, she will put together a comprehensive caregiving plan with recommendations and next steps that will help you make sense of your parents' care.

A Nurse Care Manager can assist with virtually everything you need to coordinate and implement your action plan — from helping you understand your Mom's medical information, to dealing with complex insurance policies, to connecting you with local nurses and community services, and much more.

No. You are never required to purchase additional services from Care Support of America.

Yes. A Family Care Manager can guide you through time consuming, and often cumbersome, insurance, finances and paperwork.

Is Care Support of America covered by Medicare or any other insurance?

Is Care Support of America covered by Medicare or any other insurance?

Medicare currently does not reimburse for our services. However, many long-term care insurers will pay for care coordination services, so please let us know what long-term policy your parent may hold. We will check with their insurance company to verify payment eligibility.
